The Sorondongo is a typical traditional song and dance from the Canary Islands, under this name our project was born, with a clear idea. Continue to value the gastronomy of Gran Canaria, its products and producers. 

We seek that in our kitchen they find the traditional and humble flavors of Canarian cuisine, all this under our way of understanding current cuisine, accompanied by a careful variety of wines where they can find different references from our territory.

At Sorondongo we want the gastronomic experience they have to be to enjoy, share and have a good time around a table .

Our head chef, trained at the Hotel Escuela Santa Brigida (Gran Canaria) and the prestigious Basque Culinary Center (Pais Vasco) faculty of gastronomic sciences.

His interest in cooking led him to learn from some of the best chefs in Gran Canaria and the Basque Country, who marked his path in the kitchen.

In his short career, he has treasured several achievements, among which "Young Promise of Gran Canaria Gastronomy 2019" "Winner of the Regional Cooking Contest Gran Canaria Me Gusta 2021" and "Best Chef of the Canary Islands 2022 Gastrocanarias" stand out.

At the end of 2022 he decides to take the plunge and create this beautiful project, which sees the light of day in January 2023. 

He is the most visible face of the Sorondongo team made up of many people who have made it possible.
